BOOK BEAT EVENING with Mike Madigan, whose book is titled, "Heroes, Villains, Dames & Disasters." This National Best Books finalist is a souvenir collection of 150 years of front-page stories from the Rocky Mountain News, which closed Feb. 28, 2009 -- 55 days short of what would have been its 150th anniversary on April 23, 2009.
This oversized book re-creates historic and nostalgic moments in Colorado and U.S. history.
